The Recreation Department is proud to provide quality and affordable classes, programs and special events to meet the recreational needs of local children, youth, adults, seniors and families. Recreation staff has been working hard to plan fun filled programs such as aquatics, cultural arts, early childhood recreation, health and fitness, parks and facility reservations, non-traditional recreation, sports leagues, senior services and volunteer opportunities. Take time out to look through the seasonal Recreation Activity Guide and see the variety of options to choose from. You will be glad you did!
Service to the Community
Since 1960, a large part of the Department’s service to the community comes through the variety of classes that are offered. The seasonal Recreation Activity Guide is published 3 times per year (seasons begin January, May and September) and provides a comprehensive listing of all public facility sites and program details. The Recreation Activity Guide is mailed to all Gilroy households. Residents can stop by the Recreation Department office for a copy or call 408-846-0460 for further information.
