THE CITY OF GILROY FIRE MARSHAL'S OFFICE ANNUAL VEGETATION INSPECTION ORDINANCE
Property Inspections are required by the City of Gilroy, Ordinance No. 2016-16, Section 4907.1, and per the State of California. Following the initial weed abatement deadline of May 15th, Santa Clara County will inspect, and if necessary, will order the necessary abatement work and send the property owner on record a 15 day courtesy weed abatement notice. If the abatement work is not completed within the 15 day notice, the work will be completed by the County contractor. All abatement costs will be included as a special assessment on property tax bills.
