The Third Street at Santa Teresa Blvd. (STB) roundabout will have a jersey barrier installed down the middle to prevent traffic turning into westbound Third, and to prevent left turns from eastbound Third onto northbound STB. We will have the temporary signal turned off by the Meritage Homes contractor. Village Green residents will be asked to turn right onto southbound STB and U-Turn at Club Drive. The return trip will require them to U-turn at First Street to get access back to Third. This will be an inconvenience to the residents but it is the safest thing we can do until the RAB is complete in the second week of August.
The contractor has provided additional detour signing at Club to guide folks left into Club drive from southbound Santa Teresa and then allow them to U-turn after the first median break, back towards Santa Teresa.
These measures are temporary and in support of the Garlic Festival weekend traffic conditions. The contractor schedule indicates that the intersection at Third will open again on Wednesday, August 3rd.
The Miller at STB roundabout (RAB) will be done and open to traffic on July 26th. The Gilroy Garlic Festival staff will limit entry to northbound Miller to vendors only during the festival weekend. They will have a tent there to check ID.
Public traffic will be allowed after August 1st
