It will take 1 (one) business day from the date of receipt to process requests.
To START water and sewer service in the City of Gilroy an authorized customer signature is required. A service charge of $45.00 is required on all new/transferred requests. A deposit of $50.00 is required for a residence if you have not had service in the City of Gilroy in the past five years. However, for a commercial property, a deposit rate of $75.00 or $250.00, based on the type of business, is required. If you have had service in the City of Gilroy in the past five years only the service charge is required. (ORD. No. 924) The deposit will be credited to your account after one full year of service. If you move prior to the end of one year it will be credited to your closing bill amount. If a credit remains the balance will be refunded to you.

When you provide a check as payment, you authorize us either to use information from your check to make a one-time electronic fund transfer from your account or to process the payment as a check transaction. When we use information from your check to make an electronic fund transfer, funds may be withdrawn from your account as soon as the same day we receive your payment, and you will not receive your check back from your financial institution.
