The City of Gilroy uses several forms in its Fire Prevention Program. These
forms can be accessed by clicking on the corresponding Blue type below. Also
the menu to the left also provides links to the Permits, Inspections, the
Codes and other related information.
Construction Permit Application Form
The Fire Prevention Program uses the same application form as the Building
Department for obtaining a permit to install a Fire Protection System (Fire
Sprinkler or Chemical System, overhead and underground Piping, Fire Alarm System,
Install Private Fire Hydrants, Install or remove underground and aboveground
tanks or any other construction or installation activity that requires a permit.
This form is to be submitted with plans and specifications for the installation
to the BLES permit counter at City Hall.
Application form for Fire Permit for Occupancies
For Occupancies requiring a permit for a use, such as welding or cutting, there
are two forms used, Business Activity Notification Form and the Owner/Operator
Form. These forms are also used for the Hazardous Materials and Industrial Waste
