Did you know that is ILLEGAL to throw away some electronic equipment, such as computers and televisions (sometimes referred to as "e-waste")? So, you ask, what is "e-waste" and why is it hazardous? Well, certain components of some electronic products contain materials that render them hazardous, and so these products are deemed "hazardous waste".
