Streets, Trees and Sewers
The Streets/Trees/Sewers section personnel are responsible for: maintaining and
repairing the City's improved and unimproved streets, curbs and gutters, bikeways,
public parking lots and parking lots at City facilities. Streets/Trees/Sewers
maintains striping and markings on streets, curbs, and installs, maintains and
repairs City street signs. Streets/Trees/Sewers also cleans and maintains the storm
drains throughout the City. Streets/Trees/Sewers provides the City with
24-hour emergency tree response, neighborhood tree clearance pruning, removal
and replacement of dead and unsound trees, planting trees in new subdivisions,
as well as processing permits for citizens who want to plant, prune or remove a
City tree.

Leaves Leaves Leaves Everywhere!
During leaf season please be advised that the City will be picking up leaves on
your street at least once a week. (If you have City Trees on your street.)
How Can You Help?
1. Put leaves into your yard waste containers.
2. Do not sweep or blow leaves into the gutter.
3. Do not make piles of leaves in the street.
4. Do not put leaves into garbage bags, they will not be picked up.
Remember…..You can put out up to 7 (seven) additional garbage cans or cardboard
boxes full of leaves on your yard waste day with no additional charge to you. Please
make sure you mark the cans or boxes with "YARD WASTE". Plastic bags will not be
picked up.
