NOTICE OF ELECTION
CITY OF GILROY OFFICERS TO BE VOTED ON

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a consolidated General Election will be held in the City of Gilroy on Tuesday, November 2, 2010, for the following Officers:

For Three (3) Members of the Gilroy City Council (Full four year terms)

The nomination period opens Monday, July 12, 2010 and will close Friday, August 6, 2010. Nomination paperwork is available in the Office of the City Clerk at 7351 Rosanna Street, Gilroy, CA. Monday through Thursday during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Friday’s by appointment. For more information, please call the Gilroy City Clerk’s Office at (408) 846-0204.

If only one person is nominated for an elective office, or if no one is nominated, appointment to the elective office may be made as prescribed by California Elections Code Section §10229.

The polls will be open Tuesday, November 2, 2010 between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.

To register to vote in Santa Clara County pick up a voter registration form in the Gilroy City Clerk’s Office or contact the Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters at 1-866-VOTE.

The Office of the Registrar of Voters is always looking for citizens willing to serve at the polls. If you are interested, please contact the Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters at (408) 299-POLL (7655).

Vote by Mail Ballot Deposit Site
The Gilroy City Clerk’s Department is a collection site for Santa Clara County Vote by Mail ballots each election. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
