City Parks
The City of Gilroy is proud of its beautiful parks and open space
preserve. Most parks are open seven days a week from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM
from April 1 - October 31. From November 1 - March 31 park hours are 6:00
AM - 8:00 PM. For large groups some picnic areas at Las Animas Veterans
Park and Christmas Hill Park may be reserved for use by residents of the
Gilroy Unified School District only. See our Facility Page for more information
regarding rental of City facilities. The following is a list of our City parks.

Butcher Park
602 Old Gilroy Street. Two picnic tables and benches.

1701 Crest Hill Way (corner of Valley Oaks and Crest Hill Way).

Del Rey Park
9001 Calle del Rey adjacent to Luigi Aprea School. Approximately 2 1/2 acres
with picnic tables, multi-use and open turf areas, and age specific children's
play areas.

Christmas Hill Park (and Ranch Site)
7050 Miller Avenue. Southwest end of Gilroy. 51 acres including natural
wilderness with trails. Picnic/barbecue areas, horseshoe pits, jogging
and hiking paths, children's play areas, open play field, softball/baseball
fields and open grass play area. Ranch Site addition includes multi-use fields
and temporary Environmental Education Center.

El Roble Park
7550 Wren Avenue adjacent to El Roble School. A 3 acre park with picnic area,
tennis courts, jogging paths, children's play area, open play field, and open
grass play area.

7325 Forest Street between Sixth and Old Gilroy Streets. 1/4 acre of turf and
trees. Picnic/barbecue area, and children's play area.

400 Mantelli Drive. Northwest Gilroy between Church Street and Wren Avenue. 23
acres of turf, trees and large trails. Picnic/barbecue areas, restrooms,
tennis courts, horseshoe pits, jogging and hiking paths, children's play
area, open play field, basketball courts, community center, softball/baseball
fields, handball courts, open grass play area, and skateboard facility.

Street. 9 1/4 acres with picnic/barbecue areas, restrooms, jogging and
hiking paths, children's play area, open play field, basketball courts,
handball courts and open grass play area.

Dennis Debell Uvas Creek Preserve
From Santa Teresa Blvd to W. Luchessa. 125-acre nature preserve with jogging
path, hiking trails and wildlife viewing.
