Water Management Plan

2020 Urban Water Management Plan

The Gilroy City Council held public hearings to review and discuss the 2020 Urban Water Management Plan (UWMP) and 2020 Water Shortage Contingency Plan (WSCP) on October 4 and October 18, 2021 in the Gilroy City Council Chambers at City Hall, 7351 Rosanna Street, Gilroy, California.

The City of Gilroy prepared its 2020 UWMP to continue to provide adequate water supplies to meet existing and future water demands within the City’s Urban Growth Boundary. The 2020 UWMP updates the information in the City’s 2015 UWMP and provides an overview of the City’s efficient water uses, water supplies, and demand management measures. Additionally, the 2020 WSCP builds upon previous planning efforts and outlines the City’s plan to address potential future water shortages.

The final 2020 UWMP and 2020 WSCP are available for public review on the City website www.cityofgilroy.org (see document links below) and in the office of the City Clerk during normal business hours: M-F, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding holidays, at City Hall, 7351 Rosanna Street, Gilroy.
