Downtown Paseo Design Guidelines

Understanding the City's Design Goals
The Downtown Gilroy Specific Plan (adopted on November 21, 2005) identifies paseos and plazas as key components of the downtown pedestrian fabric. Public spaces create interactive environments, build a sense of community, and create opportunities for events, entertainment, and gatherings. Priority paseo locations are identified in the plan as well as possible design elements to achieve the desired concept. It is important to understand the City's design expectations for a successful downtown renaissance. Please use the link on the right for the full Design Guideline document.
