Eviction Moratorium


UPDATE :Starting April 1, 2022, the Covid-19 Rent Relief Program (AB 832) will be changing and the current eviction protection moratorium will end, requiring tenants to pay their current monthly rent.
If you are in need of rental assistance, applications are open through March 31st. To get more information or to check the status of your application, visit HousingIskey.com or call 833-430-2122.

The City of Gilroy is subject to the Santa Clara County eviction moratorium as well as state mandates. For information on the moratorium, please visit the Santa Clara County website.

Project Sentinel

Gilroy provides funds to Project Sentinel inform local landlords and tenants of their rights and responsibilities. Project Sentinel also provides information on fair housing (nondiscrimination in access to housing) and mediation services in the case of housing-related disputes.

Mortgage Relief Assistance

The California Mortgage Relief Program can help California homeowners get caught up on their housing payments. Project Sentinel can explain the program and assist with applications, mortgage delinquency, and default counseling.
