The People's Business - A Guide to the California Public Records ActThe Public Records Act (PRA) defines "public records" as "any writing containing information relating to the conduct of the public's business prepared, owned, used, or retained by any state or local agency regardless of physical form or characteristics." This guide provides the basics of the PRA, information on responding to public records requests, judicial review and remedies, records management, and more. 



Open Government Ordinance TrainingOfficers, commissioners, committee members, and management employees of the City are required to take training on the Gilroy Open Government Ordinance within 60 days of their appointment or election. 
AB1234 Ethics Training
City Council Members and Planning Commissioners are required by California law to complete the AB1234 Ethics Training every two years.
