All City Council and Planning Commission Meeting agendas, minutes and video recordings can be access online and below. All other meetings will have audio recordings available.
City Council Meetings
The City of Gilroy City Council meets on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month. For these meetings (considered regular meetings), a packet of material (including staff reports and other documentation) is prepared. The preliminary agenda is posted online at least seven (7) days before the Regular Meeting. The packet of supporting documentation is normally placed on the Internet the Thursday before the regular Monday City Council meeting and can be accessed below. The City Council occasionally holds special meetings and workshops to discuss specific topics of interest.
Community members are encouraged to participate in Gilroy City Council meetings and may attend in person at the Council Chambers at 7351 Rosanna Street. If a regular meeting falls on a holiday, the meeting is rescheduled to the following Monday, with the exception of the single regular meeting in July, which will fall on the first day of the month of July not a holiday or a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.

Providing Public Comment
- In-Person: Members of the public may address the City Council concerning any items within the subject matter jurisdiction. Public comments made in person are limited to no more than three minutes. While the Mayor has the discretion to uniformly adjust speaking time, it is the goal of the Council to identify at the beginning of the public comment period the number of speakers present and to set the following time limits per speaker applicable to items on or off the agenda: Up to ten (10) speakers, three (3) minutes each; eleven to twenty (11-20) speakers, two (2) minutes each; over twenty (20) speakers, one (1) minutes each.
- Public comment in writing may be submitted via email to cityclerk@cityofgilroy.org or by mail to the City Clerk at 7351 Rosanna Street, Gilroy, CA 95020. Please email your comments to the City Clerk no later than 1:00 pm. the day of the meeting for your comments to be submitted to the members of the City Council with sufficient time to review the comments. Public comments submitted to the City Clerk after 1:00 pm will be provided to the City Council as time allows. Written comments WILL NOT be read aloud during the City Council meeting. Please note that written comments are posted on the City's website, so do not include any personal information you do not want to be posted on the web.

Planning Commission Meetings
The Planning Commission meets on the 1st Thursday of each month. The meeting agenda and materials are posted 72 hours before the meeting and can be found below. The community may attend in person at the Council Chambers at 7351 Rosanna Street.
