[ARCHIVED] Know Your Code: Noise Ordinance

Noise ordinance

Today, we have a gentle reminder about our noise ordinance. It's all about balancing our lively community life with some quiet time for everyone.

Here’s What You Need to Know:

Quiet Hours: Between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM, let's turn down the volume. This means no loud parties, booming music, or noisy machines.

Construction Guidelines: Building a new dream home or renovating? Keep in mind, construction noise is okay from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday to Friday, and 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM on Saturdays.

DIY Enthusiasts: If you're sprucing up your own place, feel free to work on Sundays and holidays too, between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Just remember, we're talking about quiet, personal projects, not full-blown construction sites. Please note, this only applies to residents working on their own private property.

We appreciate everyone doing their part to maintain the harmony and serenity of our beautiful Gilroy. Thanks for being awesome Gilroy!
