United Against Hate Week (September 21-27, 2024)
Gilroy is proud to be a supporter of United Against Hate (UAH) Week. This campaign is a call to action to be inclusive and welcoming towards everyone, regardless of their background, race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, economic class, or any other characteristics. In our diverse society, embracing differences and fostering a sense of belonging is what builds strong communities.
Join us! You can participate and support this campaign by posting signs, hosting events, and sharing messages and stories on social media. Every effort helps increase awareness about this important topic.
We have Gilroy UAH posters that you can pick up at Gilroy City Hall at the Information Desk beginning August 19th. We encourage businesses, schools, religious organizations, non-profits, residents and anyone else to put up a poster that highlights the Gilroy community as a safe and welcoming place to live, work and play.
