June 19, 2025 (Gilroy, CA): The City of Gilroy is excited to announce a significant achievement in its ongoing economic development efforts with the successful leasing of a 198,565-square-foot industrial space at the newly completed McCarthy Business Park. This state-of-the-art facility will be occupied by Intuitive, the pioneer of robotic-assisted surgery and a global technology leader in minimally invasive care, headquartered in Sunnyvale, California.
This milestone reflects the City's commitment to fostering business growth, attracting investment, and creating job opportunities—key priorities in strengthening Gilroy’s economic future.
Mayor Greg Bozzo highlighted the significance of this achievement, stating, "Bringing new businesses and quality jobs to Gilroy is a top priority. This project demonstrates our city's ability to attract industry leaders and foster a strong local economy.” In reference to the many people who helped bring the project to Gilroy, he stated, “Leasing a facility like this takes a lot of collaboration. I want to commend our current and former Council Members, the Planning Commission, and the City of Gilroy team for their work in bringing this project to fruition. We will continue working together to create opportunities that drive growth and prosperity for our community."
The McCarthy Business Park project, completed in the third quarter of 2024, is a collaborative effort between McCarthy Development and Rockpoint. McCarthy Development, a long-term landowner in the City of Gilroy, is thrilled to welcome such a prestigious tenant to the area and is proud to contribute to the city's growth and prosperity.
