The 2024 Citywide Pavement Rehabilitation Project Update

Better roads are on the way! All concrete work has been completed, including all curbs and curb ramps that were part of this project.
Work on roads scheduled for mill & fill and crack sealing will continue over the next few weeks with all major paving work anticipated to be completed by mid-June. Work on roads scheduled for resurfacing is anticipated to take place in July. This work will be followed by striping.

This year’s project includes an investment of $3.9 million to improve 58 street segments and two alley segments. Streets scheduled for improvement include segments of higher-traffic roadways, including portions of Tenth Street, Wren Avenue, Welburn Avenue, Princevalle Street, and Arroyo Circle. Also included in the project are segments of neighborhood streets, including portions of Lions Creek Drive, Bay Tree Drive, Mantelli Drive, and Springdale Street. Regular work hours for the project are Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Exceptions include those areas near schools and high-traffic areas, which may require different working hours.

Rehabilitation work will be grouped and phased based on the type of rehabilitation method in the following order:

  1. Concrete Work
  2. Asphalt Pavement Rehabilitation Requiring Digouts
  3. Asphalt Pavement Mill and Fill
  4. Crack Seal, Slurry Seal, and Micro-Surfacing
  5. Striping
