Gilroy Ceases Negotiations with BayEcotarium
Thursday, May 9, 2024 (Gilroy, CA): At the February 5, 2024, City Council meeting, the City Council voted to enter into an exclusive negotiating agreement (ENA) with BayEcotarium to discuss the possible development of the 536-acre City-owned property at 3050 Hecker Pass Highway, including the Gilroy Gardens Family Theme Park. At this time, the City has determined to cease negotiations with BayEcotarium and allow the ENA to expire on June 5, 2024.
The City has yet to establish any immediate plans for the long-term use of this property. However, the City will continue considering future proposals for the area's development as they are submitted.
