The City of Gilroy is currently accepting applications for flying commemorative flags at City Hall for the 2025 calendar year.
To ensure your application receives full consideration, we kindly request that you carefully review our Flag Flying Policy for detailed instructions on submitting a commemorative flag request.
In general, applications require the following:
🏴Applicant contact information
🏴Name and a full-color image of the commemorative flag
🏴A statement of explanation or purpose of the commemorative flag
🏴The month in which the commemorative flag is requested to be displayed
🏴A minimum of 150 signatures from registered voters in Gilroy, except if qualifying signatures were submitted the year prior
🏴An application fee
To meet our submission deadline, please ensure that your completed applications, along with all required signature sheets, are received at City Hall no later than Thursday, October 31, 2024, by 4:30 PM.
Complete submittal packages may be left with the City staff at the Information Desk in City Hall. Please note that for signature verification purposes, we require the original signature sheets with original signatures. For this reason, electronic, faxed, and/or copied versions of the applications will not be accepted if signature sheets are required.
