The City of Gilroy, in partnership with the California High-Speed Rail Authority and the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA), is developing a plan for the area around the Gilroy Transit Center in Downtown Gilroy.
We are committed to creating a space that best serves our community, enhances the unique character of our downtown, and prioritizes meaningful transportation, public space, and infrastructure improvements. To achieve this, we need your input!
Our four main goals for this project include:
- Establishing a clear vision for a transit area that serves our community effectively.
- Creating a welcoming, lively space that reflects the unique feel of Downtown Gilroy.
- Laying the groundwork for a more detailed station area plan in the future.
- Securing funding for key improvements to support transportation, public spaces, and infrastructure.
