[ARCHIVED] Heavy Rain and High Winds Are Coming: Warming Centers Are Open

2/12 UPDATE: The National Weather Service is predicting high wind and heavy rain for our area from tonight, February 12, 2025, through tomorrow morning. Storms are anticipated continue through Thursday and into Friday.

If you are out and about over the next few days, please use caution, slow down, and leave extra time in your schedule for possible delays and nuisance flooding.

Santa Clara County is operating several warming centers, including:
 
🌡️ Gilroy Library, located at 350 W 6th Street | Open Wednesday, from 1 PM – 9 PM, and Thursday and Friday from 10 AM – 6 PM.
 
🌡️ Morgan Hill Library, located at 660 W Main Ave | Open Wednesday, from 12 PM to 9 PM, and Thursday and Friday from 10 AM – 6 PM.
 
Additional warming centers can be found on the County’s website at https://emergencymanagement.sccgov.org/residents/cold-weather-safety


Options for overnight sheltering in South County are also available.

ACTUALIZACIÓN 2/12: El Servicio Meteorológico Nacional predice vientos fuertes y lluvias intensas en nuestra área desde esta noche, 12 de febrero de 2025, hasta la mañana de mañana. Se anticipa que las tormentas continúen hasta el jueves y se extiendan hasta el viernes.

Si necesita salir en los próximos días, por favor tenga precaución, reduzca la velocidad y deje tiempo adicional en su agenda para posibles retrasos e inundaciones menores.
