In coordination with the street improvements related to the new housing development at 700 W 6th Street, the traffic diversion island located at the intersection of Princevalle Street and 6th Street will be removed. The island, originally installed next to the then-Wheeler Hospital, will be removed to improve traffic and pedestrian safety and facilitate access for emergency vehicles.
Removal is anticipated to take place in the next 2-3 weeks and will be followed by the developer’s planned pavement rehabilitation in the project area.
