TRAFFIC ADVISORY
Overnight Work and Ramp Closures Scheduled for Thursday, July 17 & Friday, July 18, 2025
As part of the US 101/SR 25 Interchange Project, crews will be doing overnight grading and excavation work that will impact ramps and roads near the Garlic Shoppe and the southbound US 101/SR 25 interchange.
When & Where?
Thursday, July 17 (night into Friday)
- 6:00 PM–9:00 AM: Southbound US 101 On-Ramp from Route 25
- 9:00 PM–5:00 AM: Southbound US 101 Off-Ramp to Route 25
Friday, July 18 (night into Saturday)
- 6:00 PM–9:00 AM: Southbound US 101 On-Ramp from Route 25
- 10:00 PM–5:00 AM: Southbound US 101 Off-Ramp to Route 25
Work Areas
- West of the southbound US 101 off-ramp to northbound SR 25
- Along northbound SR 25 near the Garlic Shoppe
Expect detours, delays, and nighttime ramp closures.
Please plan, follow posted signs, and consider alternate routes.
Detour for US 101 southbound off-ramp to Highway 25:
- Stay on southbound US 101 past the closed off-ramp exit.
- Take the Betabel Road off-ramp exit.
- Turn left at Betabel Road, cross over US 101, and take the US 101 northbound on-ramp entrance.
- Stay on northbound US 101 and take the off-ramp exit to Highway 25.
Detour for Northbound Route 25 to Southbound US 101 Closure:
- From Northbound SR 25: Motorists approaching the closed connector will be diverted left onto Castro Valley Road (immediately before the closed connector to SB 101).
- Continue East on Castro Valley Road
- Follow the detour signs along Castro Valley Road, heading east.
- Continue past intersections with Mesa Road and Bolsa Road.
- Turn Right onto Monterey Road.
- At the end of Castro Valley Road, turn right (southbound) onto Monterey Road.
- Access Southbound US 101 On-Ramp.
- Shortly after entering Monterey Road, follow signs to merge onto the southbound US 101 on-ramp.
