Join the Gilroy City Council and the Parks and Recreation Commission in celebrating Arbor Day on Friday, October 29, 2021, at 2:00 PM at the Gilroy Golf Course as six new trees are planted at the 17th hole.
In addition to planting trees, a short ceremony will be held with speakers including Mayor Marie Blankley and Parks and Recreation Commission Chair Michelle Wexler.
Planting a tree on Arbor Day is an annual tradition for Gilroy, with locations rotating between the various city-owned parks and properties. The City would like to thank West Coast Arborists for donating the Redwood trees planted this year.
