Community Meeting

California High-Speed Rail will be holding a Community Working Group to provide an overview and respond to questions about the Draft 2022 Business Plan, give members an update on the release of the Final EIR/EIS, and discuss next steps.

California High-Speed Rail Releases Final Environmental Impact Report for the San Jose to Merced Project Section

California High-Speed Rail Authority (Authority) has released the Final Environmental Impact Report (EIR/EIS) for the approximately 90-mile San Jose to Merced Project Section.

This report will be considered for approval by the Authority's Board in April.

The EIR includes:

  • An analysis of alternatives, including impacts and effects
  • Mitigation measures proposed to reduce environmental impacts and effects
  • Public comments received on the Draft EIR and responses to comments
  • Revisions to the Draft EIR made in response to comments

The Final EIR can be found on the Authority's website, hsr.ca.gov. In addition to the website, printed and/or electronic copies of the Final EIR are available at the Gilroy Library located at 350 W. 6th Street.
