The National Weather has issued an excessive heat advisory for the San Francisco Bay Area that will impact Gilroy on Friday, June 10.
Residents and visitors are encouraged to follow hot weather safety tips and seek relief from the heat at cooling center locations.
The Gilroy Library, located at 350 W 6th Street, will be open as a cooling center throughout the week, including Friday from 10 AM to 6 PM.
