The Valley Water project to enhance Gilroy's recycled water distribution system is progressing.
On December 19, 2022, crews will begin water pipeline installation across Monterey Road from E. Luchessa to W. Luchessa Avenues.
This work is expected to take five consecutive days and will require closing the intersection of Monterey and Luchessa to all traffic during the evening and overnight hours.
The Luchessa & Monterey intersection closure and detours will be in effect from 7:00 PM - 6:00 AM nightly, starting Monday, December 19, through Saturday, December 24.
To help reduce noise overnight, crews will do the heavier work at the beginning of the evening.
