[ARCHIVED] Reporting Potholes

Numbers and websites to report potholes

Our Public Works Team is responsible for the maintenance, upkeep, and repair of 125 center-lane miles of City streets. Unfortunately, potholes are an inevitable side effect of the recent rains. Our city crews are working to patch potholes as quickly as possible.

To report a pothole on City streets, please call 408-846-0424. If you are calling outside of regular business hours, or the phone goes voicemail, please leave a detailed message regarding the location of the pothole (street address and nearest intersection) and leave your name and number in case our team has difficulty locating the pothole.

Please note that some roadways in Gilroy are managed and maintained by either Caltrans or the County.

US 101, including entrance and exit ramps, First Street, and some other major roadways in the City, are managed and maintained by Caltrans. You can report potholes to Caltrans online at csr.dot.ca.gov.

Part of Santa Teresa Boulevard and some other roadways are managed and maintained by Santa Clara County. You can report potholes to Santa Clara County Roads & Airports online at countyroads.sccgov.org.

Thank you!
