The DRAFT Annual Action Plan for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) programs is now available for public review and comment.
CDBG program funds are designed to support community development activities to build stronger and more resilient communities, particularly for low and moderate-income persons and communities. Grant funding is awarded to communities or grantees for a wide range of activities directed toward revitalizing neighborhoods, economic development and providing improved community facilities and services.
As a CDBG grantee community, the City of Gilroy utilizes its allocation in a variety of ways to assist low and moderate-income City residents and community programs.
The City of Gilroy invites the community to review and comment on the Fiscal Year (FY) 2023-2024 Draft Annual Action Plan during the 30-day public comment period, April 1, 2023 through April 30, 2023. Written comments on the draft document must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. on April 30, 2023 and can be emailed to Sandra.nava@cityofgilroy.org.
The City Council will also accept public comments on the Draft FY 2023-2024 Annual Action Plan at the May 1, 2023 Public Hearing and will provide direction on funding allocations for the proposed Fiscal Year 2023-2024 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) programs.
