The City of Gilroy is looking for ways to make the city a more affordable place to live.
We invite you to a community meeting to introduce the concepts of inclusionary housing, where new developments must include units that are affordable, promoting fairness and prosperity within our community. By attending, you can help shape the future of Gilroy’s housing landscape. Let’s unite, share ideas, and pave the way for a more affordable tomorrow.
Please join us on Tuesday, November 7th, from 6:00–7:30pm in the City of Gilroy City Hall Council Chambers, located at 7351 Rosanna Street.
The meeting will be held in English with Spanish translation, and light refreshments will be provided.
Why is this important?
- Affordable housing opportunities uplift families and reduce stress.
- It frees up funds within families’ tight budgets to spend on health care, medication, food, and transportation.
- It can reduce overcrowding and help prevent homelessness.
- It can help reduce intergenerational poverty and increase economic mobility.
