A Candidate Information Session will be held at Gilroy City Hall on June 26 at 6:00 PM for those interested in running for Gilroy City Council or Mayor in the November 2024 General Election.
The session will provide information about the role and responsibility of elected members and will include an overview of the City of Gilroy, such as:
- The role of the governing body of a council
- The framework in which councils operate
- The time commitment required of a councilor in terms of their participation in council meetings and other council activities
- Information about candidate eligibility
- Information about navigating the elections process
