With the 4th of July fast approaching, please remember that ONLY SAFE and SANE FIREWORKS are allowed in Gilroy and ONLY from 9 AM on July 1st through 10 PM on July 4th. All other fireworks are always illegal.
Be sure to check the map to see where safe and legal fireworks are allowed and where they are prohibited.
Please support local Gilroy youth sports and non-profit groups by buy buying Safe and Sane Fireworks at any of the 14 fundraising booths. Bring proof of Gilroy residency.
And help keep everyone safe when using Safe and Sane Fireworks with these firework safety tips:
🎇 Never allow young children to handle fireworks
🎇 Only light one firework at a time
🎇 Fireworks should only be used by adults or with close adult supervision
🎇 Never point or throw fireworks at another person
🎇 Never hold lighted fireworks in your hands
🎇 Use safer alternatives such as glow sticks, confetti poppers, and colored streamers
🎇Use fireworks away from things that can burn
🎇 Have a fire extinguisher ready and/or a pressurized water hose ready
